Cupping therapy

Cupping is a type of bodywork therapy that originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, like an inverse of massage, and with the same effect as a massage but faster and more effective. The suction helps facilitate the flow of “qi” in the body. Qi is a Chinese word meaning life force, or vital energy. The suction releases tight muscles and this creates instant pain relief. The pain relief from one cupping treatment continues to take effect for up to 24 hours after the treatments. Cupping is one of the best pain management tools that exist, in terms of safety and effectiveness.
